(Overview)
A custom Shopify store for WellPaws, designed and built around its growing range of pet supplements and subscription products.
WellPaws makes supplements for cats and dogs, covering four needs: calming, gut health and immunity, joints, and skin and allergy. Each need has a syrup and a chewable, and the shop sells across the UK.
The brand leans on vets, on videos from real owners and on the founder's dog, Alfie. One homepage banner puts the pitch plainly: goodbye tablets and powders. The rest of the site has to back that up.

(The store)
The products have a lot to explain, so the job was to make the science and benefits easy to scan without losing the personality of the brand. I designed the UI and built a flexible Shopify theme with reusable sections, product templates and subscription journeys the team can keep updating as the range grows.
Eight products sounds like a small shop, but they sit in 18 collections. Each need is split for cats, for dogs and for both, with more by format and by pet. Six category pills near the top of the homepage cover the main ways in: syrups, chewables and the four needs.
The theme sits on Dawn, Shopify's own base theme, with custom sections on top. Collection pages finish with a row of articles from the WellPaws blog, so the reading is a scroll away from the products.

Six rows, one argument
Straight after the category pills comes a comparison table: WellPaws against other brands, six rows deep. Vet recommended, clinically proven ingredients, better absorption than tablets and powders, and so on.
A table is blunt, which is the point. It reads in one glance, on the way down to the products.

The product page does the explaining
Sized to the pet
Four weight bands cover pets from under 10kg to 45kg, and each shows how long a bottle lasts, from 60 days down to 15. Pick one and the page fills in the daily serving and the cost per day, then sets the subscription to deliver on the same cycle.
Fireworks before valerian
Further down, the page starts from what owners deal with: fireworks, travel, barking when left alone. Each is matched to the two ingredients aimed at it, then comes a strip of signs to watch for, such as tail down or hiding.
What's inside
Each of the five ingredients gets a card and one plain sentence. The exact amounts per 10ml and the dose by body weight sit with the product details up top.
Subscriptions, spelt out
Subscriptions run through Loop, and the terms sit with the option: edit, skip or cancel any time, with free UK delivery.

(Motion and mobile)
One section gets to show off: a 3D Calming Care bottle that turns as you scroll, revealing three benefits on the way down.
Three.js is not small, so it stays out of the theme's main scripts. The section imports it, and the model, only where it is used. Rendering pauses once the bottle is off screen, and with reduced motion on, the idle drift stops and the benefits simply show.
Below 900px the section stops pinning. The bottle sits above the copy and turns slowly on its own, and all three benefits show at once. On phones, the category pills cut down to two: syrups and chewables.
A Shopify experience that makes a growing range of pet supplements easier to understand, easier to shop and much easier for the team to manage.
